Spring 2023 classes begin January 10th.  ESL, HSD, GED/HiSET Prep, Computer Classes, Excel, Photoshop, Google Apps, and Office Career Pathways are available at free or low cost.  Short-term career training classes will also be offered in a variety of healthcare classes (CNA, Dental Assisting, Medical Assisting, Medical Billing and Coding, and Pharmacy Tech).  NLMAS is also offering training in welding, childcare professions, real estate, and custodial tech!  Click the register button and enroll today!  Space is limited.  For more information, call (562) 210-3990.

Graduation Requirements for the High School Diploma

 
  • Language Arts - 40 credits
  • Math - 20 credits
  • Science - 20 credits
  • Social Science:
    • U.S. History - 10 credits
    • American Government and Economics- 10 credits
  • World History - 10 credits
  • Career Preparation - 10 credits
  • Fine Arts or Foreign Language - 10 credits
  • Electives - 50 credits
 
Total:  180 credits

Academic counseling is available on a non-appointment basis at the Norwalk Campus.  Call (562) 210-3996 for counseling hours.  
 
Counseling Office Services:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency Preparation, course enrollment
  • TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) placement testing 
  • Transcript evaluation
  • And much more!
 
Candidates for the high school diploma must complete at least ten credits in residency as an adult diploma student at the Norwalk-La Mirada Adult School.
